HUBERT HO received the Ph. D. in music from the University of California, Berkeley and received the B.A. from Harvard College. During 2005-06 he held a Fulbright Scholarship in the Czech Republic under the direction of Marek Kopelent. His music has been performed on various festivals and series around the world, including the Pro Musicis Foundation at Carnegie Hall, the Acanthes Festival in France, Wellesley Composers Conference, Ernest Bloch Music Festival, Universität der Künste Berlin (UdK), and the 2007 Komponistenforum Mittersill in Austria. Performers of his music include the New York New Music Ensemble, California EAR Unit, Das Chicas Trio, Bakersfield Symphony New Directions, and the Österreichisches Ensemble für Neue Musik, Salzburg. His music has been recorded on the ein klang label. He has held artists’ residencies at MacDowell, Yaddo, I-Park, and the Djerassi Program as the Oshita Fellowship holder. As a pianist he has performed at the Acanthes and Darmstadt festivals, and with groups such as Earplay in San Francisco.
